Using the built in CD-ROM drive in the AW16G, you
can load a variety of drum loops, sound fx and .wav files into the
AW16Gs sample pads.

STEP 2. Move the cursor to the DIGITAL
REC button of the UTILITY page, and press the [ENTER] key to turn
the button on.
STEP 3. Insert a CD into the CD-RW
drive. You can load audio data (CD-DA) or WAV files from the following
types of media:
Audio CD
- CD-Extra (only the first session of CD-DA)
- Mixed Mode CD (only CD-DA data of the second and later tracks)
WAV files
- ISO9660 Level 1 format CD-ROM, CD-R, CD-RW*
- Mixed Mode CD
* The directory name and file name cannot use characters
other than uppercase alphanumeric characters and the “_”
(underscore) character. If you use the AW16G to export WAV files
onto CD-R/RW media, the data will be in ISO9660 Level 1 format,
but please be aware of this restriction if you use a computer to
create WAV files.

of the SAMPLE screen.

STEP 5. Move the cursor to the READ

STEP 6. Move the cursor to the From

file that you want to import.
STEP 7. Use the To PAD and To BANK
fields to specify the pad/sample bank into which the data will be
imported.
STEP 8. When you have finished specifying
the data to be imported, move the cursor to the EXEC button and
press the [ENTER] key.

STEP 9. To execute the import, move
the cursor to the OK button and press the [ENTER] key.
NOTES: Although
the AW16G prefers to see 1-measure loops, you can import drum loops
that are longer. However, the tempo will be cut in half for each
extra measure. IE: A 2-measure loop at 140bpm will be imported as
a 2-measure 70bpm loop. It will sound the same, but the AW16G will
see it at 1/2 the actuall tempo. |
