Problems writing to CDR
I've recorded a song on the AW16G. When I go to write the song to CD I get an error "Not a Stereo Track"

I know the tracls are recorded in stereo. I set it up that way and when each track plays back I get levels showing on both the L and R indicator on the display. What am I doing wrong?

PS. Do I need to format the CDR first in a PC CD Burner?

Appreicate any help anyone can give.

Thanks

J

From the G's point of view, the "Stereo Track" is another set of tracks in addition to the 16 you're familiar with. The Stereo Track is where a recorded mixdown is routed to.

Rather than perform a mixdown operation on the two tracks that you have, you can move them to the Stereo Track using the edit function. After the move, make sure everything got sent to the Stereo Track by pressing Monitor and selecting Stereo Track to listen to it. Then Save the song, because the CD authoring function can't see the Stereo Track until the song is saved.

It sounds like alot of steps, but it's just keypresses and will go real fast.

Thanks I'll try it this weekend and let you know how I get on. I have recorded 8 tracks in total. 5 drum tracks, bass, rhythm and lead guitar. If it works I'll post the MP3 attachment here!

I know I havent got the EQs right so I'll be asking for more advice on that later too!

Thanks once again for a qucik response.

J
