The groundbreaking AW16G and AW4416 digital audio workstations not only brought the "studio in a box" concept directly to musicians - they also provided them with tools to capture inspiration and creativity. That legacy continues with the introduction of the AW1600 and AW2400 workstations.

The AW1600 has everything you need to record your music anywhere, anytime, in a compact and road-worthy design. The 1600 retains the fundamental approach of the AW16G - fast but flexible recording, mixing, and CD-burning facilities - but goes on to double the hard drive capacity, enhance the input options (all eight inputs can use XLR or TRS phone jacks, and Phantom power available to all channels), enhance computer access with USB 2.0 drag and drop capabilities for moving files onto your computer, and to do all this within a 24-bit recording environment complete with new Pitch Fix algorithm for correcting the pitch of vocal tracks.

That's quite an array of recording power, especially if you're a musician on the move with limited "studio" space and limited time to get everything set up.

In a nutshell, the AW1600 provides you with extraordinary music production facilities in a relatively low-cost and remarkably compact unit that can take you all the way from having an idea, to mastering a song and burning it onto CD.
